I played a few gigs with nige and hes a top geezer, and was a great dj he knew how to work a crowd.It was a shame he got mixed up in some bad buisness and i hope he bounces back respect!!

hi ya kev buddy ive heard some of your suff i know nidge really well i see him most days he works for one of my mates dad drilling bore holes for housing and large building construction , he's a wicked bloke i see him most days walking or skateboarding to work but im afraid with the shit he's got himself into he'll find it really f@k;ng hard to get out of it ,without a doubt i know this well let's just say i do know??? but with the right help he'll get over it but he's gotta do it himself i'd love to try help .........him but i carn't help him yet either if ya know what i mean ????? we'll not now anyway im in hospital at the mo don't know weather you know or not ????

Last time I saw Nige play was at a house party after Sven Vath had played at The Orbit..

I used to travel up from Cardiff every other weekend for The Orbit and a visit to Eastern Bloc was always like Xmas day!

He'd sort me out with what I now know to be many of the early Drum Code tracks, Beltram, Surgeon, Space DJz, Downwards releases etc...top man.

For the sake of balance and to ensure that this thread isn't a total shit-sucking experience, I'd say that my experience of Nige was one of him being a touch arrogant to say the least. I don't deny that there are great stories of him going the extra mile... but there are plenty of others in the opposite direction.

I'd suggest that his arrogance/helpfulness was as adjustable as one of the gain knobs on his mixer and was generally itself controlled by how many records you were currently buying from him per month.

So, having done a hatchet job on the personality of the man, I'd still happily put on record that he was responsible for some of the most euphoric times of my life and for his part in that, I am immensely grateful.

To paraphrase Renton, let's hope that with God's help he has conquered his terrible affliction.
