If nothing else but for Super Mario Karts, still one of my fave games.

You can get Mario Karts for the PC via a pretty good emulator, there are a couple of good snes ones out at the mo.

Yeah, I've played it through an emulator, it's a bit jerky though. Although zsnes has built in 3d accelerators for those with a 3d card, so it soups things up a bit. I've still got a SNES, well it's not mine but officially it is since the person who gave us it is not likely to want it back. I've only got 1 game, and would love a copy of super mario kart for it, be great for when the lads come over for a mix int spare bedroom. Might check ebay for a cheap copy!

Only reason I didn't go with the SNES was cos I never had one until recently, and I was a huge sonic fan.

Sonic was too fast for me, it is one of those games where there are times you have no control at all over where and how you get there - as mad as a box of frogs. I like to atleast have some control, the reflexes must have some opportunity.

Gotta say i dint play much on either but watched both consoles being played .....if i was to pick it would be from a spectator perspective only and id have to go with the megadrive simply for being entertained by sonic for many a hour while chonging away.....although i did have a fair few attempts at pga golf but i wasnt too good at that either... ;)
