Just found this, ace photo of the Orbit/NewPavillion as 'Walkers Bingo' and a bit of info too.

View of Morley New Pavilion which was built as a theatre in 1911. It was turned primarily into a cinema in 1915, changed to a Bingo and Social Club in 1968 and, after two or three years standing vacant, it became a Nightclub in 1990. This photograph shows the building under the control of Walkers Bingo and Social Club, who had taken over the running of the Bingo Club from Star Bingo in about 1980. The noticeboard outside the entrance shows what prizes were available. Notice that in 1984 the four shops in High Street underneath the theatre were still open for business. The wooden huts just beyond the Pavilion where T. H. Stephenson had his photographic studio have been cleared away as parking area for the South Queen Street Working Men's Club.

You know a lot of converted cinemas make really good clubs cos of acoustics like, another thing I liked about The Orbit was the sound and how well it travelled right to every corner of the club.

speaking of which, has anyone started putting together a list of triangle incidents yet? i reet freaked myself out with one tuther week. went to look at the pavillion for the first time on foot (been driven past it a few times) since it closed and took some walkaround videos with my phone, when i got on the bus back to leeds i started watching the vids and i get a random text alert telling me how much credit i'd got left out of a tenner i'd put in at the start of the week. yep, 48p?( proper strange.

cheers for re-jigging my post MCC, much appreciated.

No worries trem. I don't like messing with other peoples posts, but in this case thought it easier to simply get the content on here.

Have you found any photo's of the Triangle...... ;)
