Hi there. Me & Jamie (Crookes) are looking for you James from Batley. You see, you have about 60 or so of mine & Jamie's records that we left at your house after The Orbit 1 night about 4 or 5 years ago. We came back a few weeks later but you'd moved out. Two of mine that I can remember being in there were Audio 7 (Dandu Groove) by Chris Liebing & Bleu by Scan-X on blue vinyl. Jamie said there were some Cold Dust, Jon Nuccle & H white labels of his in there too as well as Planet Forming Materials on orange vinyl by Cold Dust & Audio 7r (Dandu Groove the remixes). If you are James or you know someone from Batley that all of a sudden had about 60 lovely techno records including those mentioned in a black nylon HMV bag with a velcro front after a trip to The Orbit please get in touch. Dont worry, were not mad. We'd just like our records back. It'd be nice to see you again too!

is it the same crookes i knew of? his girlfriend was from newcastle. i went out with them one night and him and another lad whose name i cant remember ran naked from the pub to crookes house in the freezing cold after 12 oclock (nutters) was really funny though!

Hi miss Dizzy. That's actually his cousin Jamie. You're on about Tim who is indeed a bit crazy at times! He never told me about that particular incident! He's not with Chezzer anymore for various reasons but we still see him occasionally.
And by the way, has anyone seen that James or our records yet?!?? (

And you're right Cuba, Fine Audio Recordings is one of the best labels going these days (unless I've missed something & its not going anymore!).

Was it James who had long hair and always chilled downstairs infront of the entrance to the chill out room?? Did he live in the strangely named Hanging Heaton at one point????

I'm not too sure what he looks like it was that long ago & the vague memories I have of that night include a ferocious night at The Orbit followed by me trying to keep upright while Jamie made strange noises with his Groovebox (!) but your description sounds strangely familiar. Jamie knew him a lot more than I did & could probably give a photofit suitable for crimewatch, infact....!
