Hi,
I'm after a tune ID that I have probably got a cat in hells chance of finding. Unfortunately I don't have a sample of it either!!
It sounds a bit like Velocity - Lust and is not one of the remixes. I think that it may be called Voyager and came out as a picture disc around 1994/95ish. John Berry used to play it for a while around this time.
Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. This is one of my holy grails, apart from getting a hold of PKA - Eclipse, which I doubt I will ever get!!??
Cheers!!

Don't know, don't think I've ever heard either of them but woth investigating.
It was the hard German trancey stuff of the time and I have seen Voyager8 on E-bay many a time.
May have to bite the bullet on that one and get a copy. Problem is could be chasing all the records named Voyager/Voyage in the world and still be flogging a dead horse!!??

Listening to them both I'd say that Voyager 8 was always nige's tune, but then again there's nothing to stop john playing it I suppose. Hey, I'd buy either if I saw them on ebay! Oh and voyager 8 is 4.99 on ebay at moment, with a quid postage on buy it now!

Yeh, on Club Craft records.
When I was told the name, several years ago, the lad who told me said it was a black picture disc?? Could be etched?? I remeber another tune on Club Craft that was. But then again it has got 3 tunes on it so probably no room for it. Kid must've been mistaken.
Anyhow, who gives a shit, great tune, and I have a copy coming soon!! Sweet!!!

:D bought that ages ago glad all my trips to york (depth charge) record shop ;) one of my fave record shops this was(along with fulcrum and fourth wave)....the fact that they used to get top notch stuff in coupled with the fact that you could go in back room and listen to em n have a smoke was ace(shame about the deck ..it was one of those where you had to manually alter the belt to change the speed...was a top quality deck other than that though)....shame it shut down....i heard the reason for its closure was partly due to the fact that they did'nt seem to move with the times in regards of the music they were keeping in stock...still...got some gems sat nicely in loft thanks to that place.......;)

Only went there once, and that was not during the era of ace Trance/Techno from back in the day. This was around 2000 and most of the stuff in stock was pretty shit, although did stay for a while and managed to get some beauties!!:) Best shop used to be E-Bloc,(of course), but most of my collection from back then came from Nu-Groove in Wakefield. A guy called Freddie and a lass called Gabrielle used to run it. Nidge used to make the odd appearance and dish out the corkers!!:) :)

woah major flashback times
remember depth charge deck very well it had a glass platter  and i used to push it around to emulate +8 lol the back room was a shit hole but as said already was cool to get loads of tunes out and smoke like a chimney and pub down road was fine too :)
my first tunes i bought were from freddies shack rob 8) that gabrielle was i nice site straight after work too hehe.
freddie used to rip shit out of me for going to orbit and liking trance always dragging records out and saying check this snakey totally trancetastic giving it his fake ye this rocks head nodding bethind counter.
Nige was a swine for that too hehe although i shouldnt grumble i got some great tracks from there.
One time i went in was some chubby geezer there chatting with freddie and i was asking if he had anything new in,was nowt new so i was on my way out and the chubby geezer shouted me back saying blah blah u goto orbit etc,etc which i replyed yes,yes etc after which he passed me a tune and said you must buy this it effing rocks man so i though fair enough and told freddie to bang it on for a listern, only bloody jeff mills step to enchantment :D hehe.
wasnt until the following saturday i found out who the chubby geezer was as i bumped into him whilst he was carrying his record box through the que to orbit, was a guy called clarry (guess some will know him in here) still dont know his proper name to this day :nono:
As for e-bloc went to manchester (before leeds one opened) one a few times as one of my mates lived at bury so wasnt too far to go from there totally gutted john B never served me though
e-bloc at leeds was superb for orbiteers nige, mark, ann savage all in same shop  what more did u want!!
reminds me now about a funny thing billy did to nige at e bloc hehe, came straight from nige so no reason to doubt and sure billy will verify it if he remembers.
Basically billy spent about 30-45 mins listerning to various techno tracks after asking nige to play some good stuff, anyway after playing shit loads of tracks for billy nige says so what you gonna buy.........to which billy replyed none and proceeded to leave e-bloc............ lol :]
was proberly funnier if you had been there to see niges face but he was pretty miffed and tickled at the same time, made me laugh anyway.
ok enough rambling :uhh:

:
LOLOL...not arf...i tell u now though i did get some belters from there but if i had bought everything he ever offered me i think id have a fair old pile o sh!t$ by now......do u remember paul who used t work there when it first opened...he was bang on for the tunes...used t pull some good uns out for u instead of trying to get rid of all the chaff first...he left to become a stockbroker i believe....just a slight change of direction in employment then....:D

I remember Clarry. Didn't he go under a different name as well?? Swapped a copy of XVX II off him for an old DJ ESP tune and regretted it when Colin Favor dropped it into his blinding set of May 1993. Managed to get a hold of another copy though.:)
Last time I saw Freddie was at the doctors a few years ago. He was looking a bit worried.:( :( Hope it worked out OK for him, nice guy.:) Gabrielle was certainly a nice sight and I think that she drew quite a few punters in. Great marketing ploy!!:p

fark me... how the hell do you know about that one???? :))
a group of us just went in at lunchtime from work... so i shouted over to nige to put some tunes on... seems he mistook my desire for a mini lunchtime orbit sesh for a buying spree. oh well.... i enjoyed it!
(and he's still my favourite resident!)
